コメンチーニ監督はとても仕事のしやすい監督だったと思いますが、イタリア人スタッフと共に仕事をするのは、アメリカでのそれとは少し異なるようにも感じました。何となくリラックスした雰囲気の中で、私自身も俳優としてのびのびと演技ができたように思います。
撮影が終了すると、クリスタルディ氏とクラウディアの夫妻が、素晴らしいサファイアのカフス・ボタンを私にプレゼントしてくださり、感激したことを覚えています。
